Em Nome do Pai

Perante a diminuição da participação dos cidadãos na Igreja no mundo ocidental, a Igreja Católica encontra-se numa encruzilhada política na sua atração e retenção de católicos.

Enquanto líder, o Papa Francisco tentou liberalizar o dogma da Igreja; as guerras dentro da burocracia da Igreja são para a defesa do governo ortodoxo do Papa Bento XVI e Francisco abre a inclusão para cumprir as normas de um mundo moderno. O Vaticano é um país independente, onde o autogoverno e o seu sistema bancário próprio estão a enfrentar diferenças políticas, dividindo tanto os pregadores das palavras de Deus quanto os milhões de católicos que financiam a Igreja. Duvido que Deus quisesse uma nação separada das outras quando o seu plano se baseava na promessa de trazer todos para a mensagem de Deus. A Igreja Católica é ingovernável e, a menos que as teologias sejam inclusivas para toda a Igreja, o declínio não será reversível.

O Papa Francisco foi o primeiro inscrito para a próxima Jornada Mundial da Juventude em agosto de 2023 em Portugal. Esperam-se cerca de um milhão de participantes na celebração, onde a festa é a principal ordem do dia, mas claro, que tudo isto baseado nos fiéis ensinamentos de Deus. Quem, senão os jovens, será o futuro da Igreja?

A questão que se levanta é se o Papa, mesmo com a sua popularidade, consegue convencer uma geração atormentada, por questões sobre o seu governo e saúde mental, a acreditar que a Igreja Católica é o caminho para a salvação e o lugar onde se pode encontrar refúgio das complexidades da vida. A organização desta celebração gerou controvérsia, assim como a maioria das coisas que afligem a Igreja atualmente. O excesso de custos e os excessos na preparação do evento levantaram questões sobre a humildade que Jesus pregou em nome de Deus. Numa economia de retração, porque está a Igreja disposta a aceitar a opulência para reunir os jovens nos seus braços? O Papa e os seus regentes deveriam pregar a humildade económica em vez de gastar milhões de dólares em atmosferas de concertos para destacar mensagens religiosas. Jesus pregou descalço entre as massas de pobres e desfavorecidos, mas os pais modernos precisam de púlpitos revestidos de ouro. Os excessos políticos conspiratórios de hackers políticos, que utilizam os impostos pagos pelos cidadãos, estão a ser questionados pela sua falta de responsabilidade.

Cada centavo gasto deve ser contabilizado e justificado para os fins da sua utilização. Todos os políticos e todos os representantes de Deus devem prestar contas aos cidadãos de Portugal e do mundo por terem feito tudo para mostrar aos mais jovens celebrantes católicos o que é responsabilidade. O cântico santo e as promessas oratórias de salvação não o farão.

O título escolhido para este editorial foi “Em Nome do Pai”. Embora saibamos quem é o Pai na religião católica, isso baseia-se principalmente no simbolismo dos ensinamentos da Bíblia. Jesus Cristo sempre se referiu ao seu Pai (Deus) e pregou em Seu nome e então os sacerdotes assumiram o nome de Pai, embora provavelmente nunca tenham gerado ninguém, então porquê a imagem do Pai?

Quem são esses pais que aceitam filhos e filhas e os abusam sexualmente sem impunidade? Onde estava a casa de Deus que permitia que esses crimes ocorressem dentro das suas próprias paredes enquanto os pais invocavam o Seu nome? Jesus pregou sobre a família e a moralidade da vida e, em particular, os 10 mandamentos. Será que os pais respeitaram o conceito dos mandamentos ao tentar reestruturar a história, tal como no caso dos indígenas no Canadá, e esconder atividades criminosas durante várias décadas e/ou desde que a Igreja foi formada? O abuso sexual não faz parte dos ensinamentos da Bíblia, sendo assim, quando é que os pais decidiram reescrever a Bíblia? Existem várias perguntas a serem feitas, mas não têm respostas porque o conceito de apontar o dedo e não mea culpa inseriu-se no paradigma da vida e aqueles que deveriam aceitar a responsabilidade de fornecer respostas sugerem que as suposições são a única verdade que você tem de saber.
A mistura de religião e oportunismo político fornece um mecanismo primordial para justificar todos os erros de uma Igreja e de um Estado que supostamente deveria exemplificar a bondade na vida. Roma é uma instituição bancária que tira principalmente dos pobres, na forma de um esquema Ponzi, cuja administração começa com os pais na base e termina com o Francisco. Chegou a hora de dar aos crentes o que precisam, que é integridade, honestidade e uma mensagem clara de Deus que talvez seja a nossa única esperança de um bom fim e salvação.
Deus, por favor, olhe por Lisboa em agosto e aqueles que praticam abusos, envie-os para o deserto durante 40 dias e noites para entenderem a verdadeira mensagem do Pai.

In the Name of the Father

The Catholic Church is at a political crossroads in its allurement and retainage of Catholics amid decreasing church attendance in the western world.

As its leader, Pope Francis has attempted to liberalize the church’s dogma; the wars within the bureaucracy of the church are for the defense of Pope Benedicts orthodox governance and Francis open inclusivity to comply with the norms of a modern world. The Vatican is a country in its own right where self-governance and a banking system of its own is experiencing political differences, dividing both the preachers of God’s words and the millions of Catholics who fund the church. I doubt that God wanted a nation on earth separate from others when the promise of bringing all to the message of God was the plan. The Catholic Church is ungovernable and unless theologies are made inclusive to the entire church, the decline will not be reversible.

Pope Francis was the first registrant for the next World Youth Day in August 2023 in Portugal. About a million attendees are expected for the jamboree where partying is the main order of the day but of course all based on the faithful teachings of God. Who else but young people will be the future of the church?

The question is if the Pope even with his popularity can convince a generation racked by questions about governance and mental health issues should believe that the Catholic Church is the path to salvation and the place where refuge from the complexities of life can be found. The organization of the shindig has not been without controversy as are most things afflicting the church today. Cost overruns and excesses in the event preparation have raised questions about the humility that Jesus preached in the name of God. In an economy of retraction why is the church prepared to accept opulence to rally young people into its arms?

The Pope and his governors should be preaching economic humbleness instead of spending millions of dollars on concert like atmospheres to highlight religious messaging. Jesus preached barefoot amongst the masses of the poor and the disadvantaged but the modern day fathers need pulpits coated with gold.

Conspiratorial political excesses by political hacks using citizens’ taxes are being questioned because of lack of accountability. Every penny spent should be accounted for and justified for the purposes for which it will be spent.

Every politician and every representative of God must be accountable to both the citizens of Portugal and the world as having done everything above board to show the younger catholic celebrants what responsibility is about. Saintly chanting and oratory promises of salvation will not do it.

The title chosen for this editorial is “In the name of the Father”. While we know who the Father is in catholic religion, it is mostly based on symbolism of the teachings of the Bible. Jesus Christ always referred to his Father (God) and preached in His name and then priests assumed the name of Father even though they probably never fathered anyone, so why the Father image?

Who are these fathers who accept sons and daughters and sexually abuse them without impunity. Where was the house of God that allowed these crimes to occur within its walls while fathers invoked His name? Jesus preached about family and the morality of life and in particular the 10 commandments.

Did the fathers respect the concept of the commandments by attempting to restructure history such as Canadian Aboriginality and hiding criminal activity for several decades and/or since the church was formed? Sexual abuse is not part of the bible teachings so when did the fathers decide to rewrite the Bible. There are a lot more questions to be asked but they have no answers because the concept of finger pointing and not mea culpa have inserted themselves in the paradigm of life and those who should be accepting responsibility to provide answers suggest that assumptions are the only truth you need to know.

The meshing of religion and political opportunism provide an overriding mechanism to justify all wrongs of a church and state that purportedly should exemplify the goodness in life. Rome is a banking institution taking mostly from the poor in a form of a Ponzi scheme which management starts with the fathers at the bottom and ends with Francis. Time to give the believers what they need, which is integrity, honesty and a clear message from God which maybe our only hope for a good end and salvation.

God please look upon Lisbon in August and those who abuse send them to the desert for 40 days and nights so they understand what the real message of the Father is.
