Recovery efforts underway for 3 years old boy swept away into Grand River
A search and recovery is underway outside of Orangeville for a three years old boy after the minivan he and his mother were in was swept away by flood waters.
Search efforts continue Thursday for Kaden Young (in the photo) who went missing after a vehicle was swept into the Grand River near Orangeville, Ontario, amid severe flooding in the area Wednesday morning, the Ontario Provincial Police say.
Dufferin County OPP say helicopters and ground crews will search the Waldemar area for Kaden Young before heading south towards Belwood Lake. Const. Paul Nancekivell says Young’s mother has been released from hospital and has returned home to her family.
