(Evan Mitsui\/CBC)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>Ontario reported another 848\u00a0cases of COVID-19 and 11 more deaths linked to the illness on Friday.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"post-title entry-title\"><a href=\"https:\/\/mileniostadium.com\/local\/gta\/estudantes-da-maioria-das-escolas-de-ontario-regressaram-ontem-as-aulas\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-schema-attribute=\"\">Estudantes da maioria das escolas de Ont\u00e1rio regressaram ontem \u00e0s aulas<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Of the deaths reported today, the Ministry of Health said six had occurred more than a month ago and were added to the daily count due to a &#8220;data cleanup.&#8221;<\/p>\n<section id=\"inread-wrapper-id-144265474\"><\/section>\n<p>The new cases include\u00a0166 cases\u00a0in Toronto, 117 in Peel Region, 77 in York Region, 74 in Windsor-Essex, 53 in Hamilton, 53 in Ottawa and 48 in Durham Region.<\/p>\n<p>Of the\u00a0cases reported\u00a0with a known vaccination status:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>534, or 62.9\u200b\u00a0per cent, were in unvaccinated people.<\/li>\n<li>76, or 8.9\u00a0per cent, had a single dose.<\/li>\n<li>189, or 22.3\u00a0per cent, had two doses.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Here are some key pandemic indicators and figures for Friday from the\u00a0Ministry of Health&#8217;s daily provincial update:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Seven-day average of daily cases<\/strong>: 729.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tests completed in the last 24 hours<\/strong>: 28,247.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Provincewide test positivity rate<\/strong>: 3.1 per cent.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Active cases<\/strong>: 6,123.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Patients in ICU<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>with COVID-related illnesses<\/strong>: 177, with 97\u00a0needing\u00a0a ventilator to breathe.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Deaths<\/strong>: 11\u00a0more deaths, pushing the death toll to 9,590.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Vaccinations<\/strong>: 35,844\u00a0doses of COVID-19 vaccine\u00a0were administered by public health units on Friday.
