Nearly half of Ontario’s\u00a0new COVID-19 infections announced on Monday were in the City of Toronto.<\/p>\n
New provincial data shows there were 181 new COVID-19 cases. Of that number, 85 were in Toronto, while an additional 41 were in Peel Region.<\/p>\n Many in the Greater Toronto Area are keeping an eye on Premier Doug Ford’s government to see if it will extend its reopening to the\u00a0region, as new daily COVID-19 cases continue\u00a0to trend downward.<\/p>\n Here’s a look at the latest stats from the city:<\/p>\n Toronto’s coronavirus death toll, meanwhile, is nearing 1,000.
