{"id":3346,"date":"2017-10-11T13:57:19","date_gmt":"2017-10-11T17:57:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mileniostadium.com\/?p=3346"},"modified":"2017-10-11T13:57:19","modified_gmt":"2017-10-11T17:57:19","slug":"boy-scouts-will-allow-girls-to-join","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mileniostadium.com\/mundo\/boy-scouts-will-allow-girls-to-join\/","title":{"rendered":"Boy Scouts will allow girls to join"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"el__leafmedia el__leafmedia--sourced-paragraph\">\n<p class=\"zn-body__paragraph speakable\"><cite class=\"el-editorial-source\">(CNN)<\/cite>The Boy Scouts of America&#8217;s board of directors has unanimously agreed to welcome girls into the Cub Scout program and to forge a path for older girls to pursue and earn the highest rank of Eagle Scout, the organization said Wednesday.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"zn-body__paragraph speakable\">&#8220;The historic decision comes after years of receiving requests from families and girls,&#8221; Boy Scouts of America said in a statement. &#8220;[T]he organization evaluated the results of numerous research efforts, gaining input from current members and leaders, as well as parents and girls who&#8217;ve never been involved in Scouting &#8212; to understand how to offer families an important additional choice in meeting the character development needs of all their children.&#8221;<\/div>\n<div class=\"zn-body__paragraph speakable\">BSA said the move is also aimed at helping busy families consolidate programs for their children.<\/div>\n<div class=\"zn-body__paragraph\">&#8220;Families today are busier and more diverse than ever.
