Shawn Mendes leads this year’s Juno Awards with six nominations, followed by the Weeknd\u00a0with five.<\/p>\n
Last May, Mendes released his self-titled third studio album, which debuted at No.\u00a01 in Canada and the U.S. His single\u00a0“In My Blood,” which scored the singer his fifth top 10 song in Canada, was critically acclaimed, and Mendes was\u00a0praised for his openness about his\u00a0mental health and struggles with anxiety.\u00a0Shawn Mendes<\/em>\u00a0is also currently up for two Grammy Awards: best pop vocal album and song of the year for “In My Blood.”<\/p>\n While the Weeknd didn’t release a full-length record in 2018, he is being recognized for his latest EP,\u00a0My Dear Melancholy<\/em>, as well as his collaboration with rapper Kendrick Lamar on “Pray For Me,” a song on the Grammy and Oscar-nominated\u00a0Black Panther\u00a0<\/em>soundtrack.<\/p>\n Tied for the third-most Juno nominations are electronic duo\u00a0\u2014\u00a0\u00a0and performers at this year’s Junos\u00a0\u2014 Loud Luxury, plus German-Canadian pop singer\u00a0B\u00fclow.<\/p>\n Artists who scored three nominations include last year’s host, Michael Bubl\u00e9, as well as Alessia Cara, Tory Lanez, Hubert Lenoir, Killy and Bahamas.<\/p>\n Scroll down for the full list of nominees.
