This magical place will be sure to get you into the holiday spirit\u2026that is if you aren\u2019t already! With so many things to do before the holidays, whether it be shopping for last minute gifts, organizing the menu for your family lunches and dinners or\u00a0secretly\u00a0decorating your tree\u2013 take time with your family and friends to experience the Christmas season in one of the most iconic places in the city \u2013 Casa Loma.\u00a0<span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Upon your arrival into the castle, there is a 40-foot Christmas tree in the Great Hall. It is the most beautiful sight with tons of dazzling lights, ornaments and ribbons on it. You naturally look at it in awe and appreciate what you know\u00a0is going to be an amazing experience. Throughout the castle, there are eight different and uniquely decorated Christmas trees\u00a0all designed by talented Canadian designers.\u00a0You will see carolers, toy soldiers and even Santa Claus roaming around the castle.\u00a0<span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>We had the opportunity to speak with President and CEO of Liberty Entertainment Group, Nick Di Donato who brought \u201cA Nutcracker Christmas at the Castle\u201d brilliantly to life.\u00a0Di Donato gave us some insight on\u00a0how\u00a0he came up with the theme and what to expect when you visit.\u00a0<span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe castle is one of the most iconic buildings in Toronto and Canada. What better way to have\u00a0the Nutcracker theme through Christmas and the season? It\u2019s spectacular. People can see the exterior, roam the gardens and visit the holiday market. The interior is programmed with lots of shows such as\u00a0Glisse\u00a0on Ice and lots of\u00a0other\u00a0activities for children. It will give people a sense of the holly season and it\u2019s themed around everybody;\u00a0reaching young kids who will dance with the gingerbread man in the tunnels\u00a0and adults who are fascinated by the symphony in the Great Hall.\u201d<span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>What is\u00a0Di Donato\u2019s\u00a0favourite\u00a0part of the experience \u2013 we have the answer: \u201cI think my\u00a0favourite\u00a0part is the garden. You can sit back and look at the beauty of the lights. Sir Henry Pellatt built the castle and was always entertained in the garden. It\u2019s a beautiful backdrop to have the castle there and\u00a0you\u00a0feel an \u2018old-world\u2019 style of Christmas,\u00a0the way it started \u2013 picture Santa Claus and the\u00a0old Christmas\u00a0carolers, it really emulates that season and that time period. It\u2019s\u00a0really\u00a0a fantastic family experience.\u201d<span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Since the opening, people are very impressed with what has been done.\u00a0It is an interior and exterior experience\u00a0and\u00a0people are fascinated by all the light\u00a0exhibits,\u00a0the\u00a0holiday\u00a0market\u00a0and with all the professionalism of all the shows.\u00a0There are\u00a0also\u00a0many Canadian performers in the castle.
