What l see on the horizon for 2025…

Lonely tree on a meadow just before sunrise

Each year that goes by for me, my personal runway keeps getting shorter and my views on the global perspective as well as my own feeling changes as each year goes by. I find my opinions changing on many fronts, but aggressively proactive on other fronts. Maybe it’s my age but keeping personal feelings at bay is no longer an image that l truly cares about… whether you like it or not… not losing sleep over whether you agree with me or not.

Artificial intelligence or better known as AI is expected to continue its rapid advancement, with increased integration in veracious industries. By 2025, we may see AI systems that can better understand the predict human behavior, enhancing customer service, healthcare diagnostics, and personalized education. However, the rise of automation could lead to significant job displacement, raising concerns about unemployment and the need for retaining programs.

Quantum computing is likely to make strides, potentially solving complex problems that traditional computers cannot. This could revolutionize fields like pharmaceuticals, cryptography, and logistics. However, the technology also poses risks, particularly in terms of cybersecurity, as it could render many current encryption methods obsolete.

In 2025, we may see a continued emphasis on social justice movements and diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives. While these changes can foster a more inclusive society, they may also provoke backlash and polarization, as differing views on social issues come to the forefront.

While many economies are expected to stabilize post-pandemic, inflation could remain a concern. Central banks may continue to adjust interest rates in response, impacting borrowing and spending. The balance between fostering growth and controlling inflation will be a key focus. The rise of central bank digital currencies may gain momentum, with several countries potentially launching their own digital currencies. This could revolutionize payment systems, increase financial inclusions, but also raise privacy concerns and regulatory challenges.

As many countries around the world experience a potential shift towards the right, this trend is likely to have profound implications across various sectors by 2025. This shift can manifest in different ways, including stronger nationalism, populism, and conservative policies. A rise in nationalist sentiment often leads to more stringent immigration policies and a focus on domestic over international priorities. In 2025, this may result in tighter borders and reduced avenues for asylum seekers and migrants, affecting global labor markets and demographic dynamics.

Countries may see conservative governments rolling back progressive social policies related to LGBTQ+ rights, reproductive rights, and gender equality. This could lead to increasingly social tensions and protests as marginalized groups fight for their rights. Right leaning governments may impose stricter regulations on media and freedom of speech, labeling dissenting voices as “fake news” or “foreign influence”. This could undermine journalistic integrity and reduce public discourse, affecting how information is disseminated a perceived.

As l have said the landscape of cryptocurrencies and digital currencies is expected to undergo significant transformation. With prominent figures, such as Donald Trump, advocating for the U.S. to become the “crypto capital of the globe,” several trends and developments are likely to shape the future of digital finance.

By 2025, cryptocurrencies and digital currencies are likely to be at the forefront of financial innovation. With regulatory developments, technological advancements, and growing adoption, the landscape will be dynamic and multifaceted. Whether the U.S. will emerge as the “crypto capital of the globe” remains to be seen, but the ongoing evolution of this space will undoubtedly have significant implications for individuals, businesses, and governments worldwide. As we move forward, staying informed and adaptable will be crucial in navigating this rapidly changing environment.

The adoption of electrical vehicles (EVs) is expected to rise significantly, spurred by government incentives and technological advancements. Additionally, autonomous vehicles technology may see practical applications in public transport and logistics, reshaping urban mobility. In this province, Doug Ford has committed billions of dollars to the transformation of electric vehicles in the province of Ontario. Whether you agree or not, it seem with each passing day, that (EVs) is the way to get whether we like it or not. Trump as the new President has been on the record of scrapping many EV plants in the United States even though he has Elon Musk as his biggest supporter…. that will change in the future and as early as 2025…that’s one of my predictions.

I see the privatization of health care in Ontario take a major leap especially if Doug Ford is re-elected with a majority. I also see in 2025 Doug Ford and Ford nation getting a big majority government with the Liberals under Bonnie Crombie getting party status at best. Another predication for me is that Bonnie Crombie will not win a seat in the Mississauga area and that will leave her not sitting in the legislature. Once that happens, she will be replaced and moved out as the leader of the Liberals provincially.

Regardless of the past or predicting the future….one thing that was said to me a long time ago and it’s still relevant for me today and that was……” the past is the past; you live for today and hope for tomorrow.”

2025 is very bright!
