Mind Games

We’ve been at war for a while now.  It’s not, however, the one in the Hollywood movies with the kind of devastation that no human being would ever desire to set in motion.  The war being waged is one of shaping the minds of the public in order to achieve the desired goal.  

We’ve been sliced, diced and julienned to a point the most of us don’t know what to think.  The all-out attack is coming from big business, with the participation of governments.  Trump-style politics have given voice to open racism and indifference, but that is only one of the many ways they keep us looking in every direction but the one that focuses on them.  Sure, we now catch them blatantly lying via the internet, but they don’t care anymore.  

It’s open war on all our social standards.  In so little time, some societies have reverted to attitudes last seen decades ago, largely due to the hordes of information we are subjected to every day, much of it either taken out of context, or an outright fabrication.  While were dragging around in this quagmire, big business is busy consolidating control of everything that we need to thrive, into fewer and fewer hands.  All the information, the food supply, water, fuel, and so on.  They’ve got us so wound up and confused that they got away with extreme rises in the prices of most goods, using the pandemic and the war in the Ukraine cards, to then producing record profits during the whole period.  

None of them lost a thing, on the contrary.  What do we do?  Basically nothing.  The tide seems to be turning.  Trump has been, well we all know what he’s been and continues to be, but it seems he’s also been a blessing in disguise, as I’ve said before.  People are now more active and actually fighting back, and not only in Canada.  This war is now finally being waged by two sides, and we have the advantage.  We have the numbers and the imagination; all they’ve got are that one goal – power.  I was watching a clip of Musk at some kind of American rally.  His laminated face, ( Bill Burr), was so happy.  He was waving his arms at his MAGA crowd in glee, you could see it in his eyes.  I suddenly realized that he was exactly where he wants to be, being adored by the crowd.  

Trump adores that, and so did Mussolini and Hitler.   It always boils down to the same thing.  I remember Musk when he spoke of his dreams, and they were more technological, and environmental.  It looks like a textbook case of what too much money and power can do to a person, although I’m sure the beast was already within.  Many American people must be flabbergasted by how a couple of people can upturn a government and its laws so seemingly easily.  How a couple of guys can affect the planet so quickly and without resistance.  These guys have made enemies friends and vice versa, how could we sit back and not put up some sort of push back?  We have to keep this up in order to make them see that they’re not going to get what they want, without a fight.  We have to keep our eye on that birdie in particular, because the other issues will sort themselves out.
