What Happens After?

Assuming that most Americans haven’t completely lost their mind, come November, the current administration will be paying for what’s been going on, (by then), for two years.  I also have to assume that the current administration will abide by the rules, (not the ones they are trying to pass into law), and allow due process, should the outcome follow common sense. 

DT doesn’t care what it all looks like, he openly admits profiting from the presidency, he admits his family receives privileged information, he admits he isn’t concerned with the financial problems of his citizens, in the slightest.  Another gem was that he wouldn’t sign an affordable housing bill, because he wanted to maintain the wealthy, wealthy, and signing would bring housing prices down, something he didn’t wish for his friends.  Everyone on this great Earth knows most of what he says is either rambling, lies, or both.  Probably among the most egregious of all is how he uses every branch of the government for his personal bidding.  In turn, there isn’t a department that hasn’t become stained and untrustworthy.  The illegal war, the wild spending, and funneling of funds, ICE. Over one trillion dollars for the now war budget, and for the next one he’s asking double!  The war is taking its toll on the party, but he says it won’t affect him, when asked about the midterms.  But I also ask about the things that come out of his mouth.  Why hasn’t the man been impeached?  Yes, the answer is obvious, but man!  Lately it’s his opinion that Canucks pay for the smoke from the Ontario wildfires that the wind has taken over the border.  Who says that unless it’s during a comedy routine?  There must be a few comedians out there that wish they had thought of it first.  He shows signs, daily, that he’s a few sandwiches short of a picnic.  This, the so-called most powerful man on the planet, and everyone’s just watching the show unfold. Then, of course, there are the world-repelling tariffs, of which there will be more of, in the guise of 50%, this time on things like cement and other stuff – but not on energy, probably because raising the bills of the American people again might not go over too well.  His daily circus of lies and stupidity have numbed us all.

So, what happens after?  When the majorities are gone, is the government finally going to do its job and round these people up?  We all know both sides are aware of what could and should come down.  There are many heads to roll.  I think mitigating the damage done internally will take priority, an undertaking that will last years.  Diplomacy went out the window; that will also be a serious challenge, although I don’t believe anyone will trust the US again, at least for a few generations.  But will these people pay?  We can’t forget the power is wielded by business, and so much is concentrated in the hands of so few.  Business controls both sides, but it usually cowers in the face of hard evidence and will probably jump on the bandwagon.  We would all find it just if these people were held accountable for what they have done to their citizens and the rest of the world.  I hope I’m around long enough to see it happen.
