A pedestrian has been pronounced dead after a collision near Kingston Road and Morningside Avenue, Toronto paramedics say.
Emergency crews were called to the area around 8:30 p.m. for reports of a collision.
Toronto police said the victim’s injuries were very serious and paramedics administered CPR.
The victim was pronounced dead on the scene.
Early Monday, police said the pedestrian was a 72-year-old man.
The driver involved remained at the scene.
Roads in the area were closed for an investigation. Police are asking anyone with dash cam or surveillance footage to come forward.
