Man suffers serious injuries in ‘targeted’ Mississauga shooting

Peel police were called to the area, near Central Parkway East and Burnhamthorpe Road East, shortly before 2 a.m. for reports of shots fired.

They found one male victim who had been shot while getting into a vehicle, police tweeted, adding that the shooting is “believed to be a targeted incident.”

The victim was taken to hospital with injuries that are not considered life-threatening.

Police tweeted earlier that two male suspects, both wearing dark clothing with their faces covered, were seen fleeing the area in a silver Hyundai.
