Portuguese Canadian Walk of Fame celebrating the 2025 inductees at the annual ceremony

The Portuguese Canadian Walk of Fame is proud to announce its upcoming Induction Ceremony, set to take place on May 31st, 2025, in Toronto’s vibrant community, Camoes Square, located at 722 College Street.

The event will recognize Portuguese Canadians who have made impactful contributions to Canada’s arts, culture, innovation, and community development.

This year’s Inductees include members of the Portuguese-Canadian community who have demonstrated excellence in their respective fields while growing Portuguese culture in Canada. Their contributions and achievements will be honoured at this year’s Annual Portuguese Canadian Walk of Fame Ceremony. The 2025 Inductees include Maria Barcelos, Jose Maria Eustaquio, and Albino Fernandes da Silva.

Among this year’s inductees is Chef Albino Fernandes da Silva, a celebrated figure in the culinary world and one of Canada’s most recognized Portuguese chefs. He is known for owning and operating many food staples in Toronto, including Chiado, Salt Wine Bar and Taberna Nacional. His decades of work and influence in the culinary arts are unique to this year’s celebration, further enriching the cultural significance of the event.

The Walk of Fame was founded to celebrate the rich heritage of Portuguese-Canadians. It serves as a tribute to individuals whose influence inspires and connects them within their communities. Ranging from arts, entertainment, business, public service, and sports, the inductees’ efforts have contributed to a stronger, more inclusive cultural landscape in Canada.

The 2025 ceremony will include the official awarding of this year’s inductees, live entertainment, and special guest appearances. The ceremony will begin at 4:00 PM and is open to the public.
