2025 – Não consigo respirar, mas não estou cansado

Partindo do princípio de que o mundo não vai implodir em 2025 e nos anos seguintes, as mudanças tecnológicas e políticas continuarão a criar oportunidades notáveis para o progresso humano. O elefante na sala será, obviamente, Donald Trump e o resto dos fanáticos autocráticos que atualmente governam o mundo. 

O processo de boa vontade no mundo é muitas vezes confuso, mas é a única forma de mudar o curso da sociedade tal como a conhecemos hoje e, para alcançar a ordem e a governação, nós, enquanto sociedade, precisamos de ser frontais com aquilo em que acreditamos e não ser como ovelhas guiadas por um cão que mal pode esperar para nos vender ao matadouro. A maioria de nós acredita nos ideais democráticos apenas por conveniência e auto-servidão, dando um passo atrás quando os nossos pensamentos e crenças são desafiados. O mundo tornou-se mais fraco e não necessariamente por causa da fraqueza na distribuição das riquezas, mas por causa das mentes fracas. A cobardia tomou conta das nossas vidas devido à procura da felicidade que, se olharmos com atenção, não está expressa nos rostos das pessoas. 

Em 2025, temos de mudar esta narrativa e ser honestos connosco próprios. Vamos livrar-nos (despedir) daqueles que nos conduzem à mediocridade e cujo prazo de validade já expirou há muito tempo para evitar a podridão total do sistema político. A educação sobre os processos políticos que controlam as nossas vidas deve ser uma prioridade se esperamos resultados que criem mudanças e inspirem as pessoas a segui-los. Muitos de nós assumem que o sucesso global ocorrerá com a eliminação das guerras e a erradicação do conceito de nós contra eles. Esta abordagem não terá sucesso se a desordem não for entendida como um componente fanático que incapacita os ideais que cada um de nós carrega. Pergunto-me porque é que ouvimos, lemos, vemos e executamos o que é apresentado aos nossos olhos e mente todos os dias sem questionar todos os aspetos da apresentação, independentemente da fonte do comunicador. Infelizmente, é esta a realidade em que vivemos e se o nosso desejo de avançar não mudar, estamos apenas a enganar-nos a nós próprios de que as coisas vão mudar. Suponhamos que o mundo já sofreu o suficiente e que se alcança hoje uma paz global. Poderíamos avançar e concentrar-nos na promoção da estabilidade e do crescimento económico em todo o mundo, garantindo o bem-estar da maioria dos cidadãos? Muitos gostariam que acreditássemos que esta seria uma solução, mas não passa de uma ilusão, porque as verdadeiras guerras estão a ser travadas nas mentes daqueles que não querem a paz. 

O mundo precisa, mais do que nunca, de aceitar a igualdade e a inclusão como a fórmula para viver em paz, abordando questões relacionadas com o género, a raça e as disparidades económicas através da implementação de políticas mais justas numa sociedade harmoniosa e equitativa. Optei por não mencionar a terceira política, a da diversidade, pois considero que esta política tem sido um dos maiores fracassos de divisão na sociedade. Então, porquê percorrer o mesmo caminho em 2025 e obter os mesmos resultados alcançados em 2024? Embora alguns de vós possam ter obtido resultados positivos em 2024, a realidade é que continuamos a viver num mundo a caminho de uma felicidade e de uma miséria desequilibradas. Desde o dia em que nascemos as pessoas nos ensinam a falar e depois crescemos e nunca aprendemos a ouvir as coisas que realmente nos deviam interessar. Em 2025 pode começar por implementar ações que melhorem a sua vida em termos de saúde, de orçamento, de aprender algo novo e de se afastar daqueles que não partilham os seus ideais positivos. Escolha bem os seus amigos e não fará inimigos em 2025. 

Quero desejar a todos vós um feliz Ano Novo, mesmo àqueles que não se preocupam comigo mas fingem que se preocupam. Como canta Louis Armstrong, “what a wonderful world” (que mundo maravilhoso).

2025 – I can’t breathe, but l’m not tired

Assuming that the world chooses not to implode in 2025 and beyond, technological and political change will continue to create remarkable opportunities for human progress. The elephant in the room will be of course Donald Trump and the rest of the autocratic fanatics which currently rule the world. The process of goodwill in the world is often messy but it is the only way to change the course of society as we know it today and in order to achieve order and governance, we as a society need to be frontal with what we believe and not be like sheep guided by a dog that can’t wait to sell us to the slaughterhouse.

ost of us believe in democratic ideals only for convenience and self-servitude taking a step back when our thoughts and beliefs are challenged. The world has become weaker and not necessarily. because of weakness in the distribution of riches but because of weak minds.

Cowardice has taken over our lives because of the search for happiness which if you look closely is not expressed in people’s faces. In 2025 we need to change this narrative and be honest with ourselves. Let’s get rid (dismiss) those who lead us into mediocrity and whose shelf life has expired long ago to prevent the total rot of the political system. Education about political processes that control our lives should be top of mind if we expect results that create change and inspire people to follow. Many of us will assume that global success will occur with the elimination of wars and the eradication of the concept of us against them. this approach will not succeed if disorder is not understood to be a bigoted component incapacitating the ideals that we each carry. I question why we listen, read, watch and perform what is presented to our eyes and mind each day without questioning every aspect of the presentation regardless of the communicator source.

Unfortunately, that’s the reality we live in and if our desire moving forward doesn’t change, we are only fooling ourselves that things will change. Let’s assume that the world has had enough suffering, and that comprehensive peace is are reached today. Could we move on and concentrate on fostering economic stability and growth across the globe ensuring that welfare of most citizens? Many would like us to believe that this would be a solution but it’s no more than pie in the sky because and the real wars are being fought in the minds of those who do not want peace. The world needs more than ever to accept equality and inclusivity as the formula for living in peace addressing issues related to gender, race and economic disparities by implementing fairer policies in a harmonious and equitable society.

I chose not to mention the third policy which is diversity as I believe that this policy has been one of the most divisionary failures in society. So why walk the same path in 2025 and attain the same results achieved is 2024? While some of you may have achieved positive results in 2024, the reality is that we continue to live in a world on its way to unbalanced happiness and misery.

From the day we are born people teach us to speak and then we grow and never learn to listen to the things we really should care about, If nothing else lets each accomplish something positive for the betterment of society this year. You can start by

implementing actions that will better our lives in health, budgeting of funds, learning something new and staying away from those who do not share our positive ideals. Choose your friends well and you will make no enemies in 2025. I want to wish all of you a happy new year even to those who don’t care about me but pretend they do. As Louis Armstrong sings, “what a wonderful world”.
