Basketball: Raptors win finale but miss playoffs

In their final home game of the 2024–2025 NBA season on April 9, the Toronto Raptors delivered a commanding 126-96 victory over the Charlotte Hornets at Scotiabank Arena. Rookie Jonathan Mogbo led the team with his first career triple-double, recording 17 points, 10 rebounds, and a career-high 11 assists.
Jared Rhoden contributed significantly off the bench with a game-high 23 points, while Scottie Barnes added a double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds. The Raptors showcased a balanced offensive effort, with multiple players scoring in double figures.
This win improved Toronto’s season record to 30-50. However, despite this victory, the Raptors have been eliminated from playoff contention in the Eastern Conference.
